Regardless of the overall prediction that high heels c’est du passé, Christian Siriano’s acclaimed collection recently presented during (the still ongoing) New York Fashion Week kept the towering heights for (at least) another season.
Ferociously feminine and predominantly nude, pastel-ish (and generally summer-safe) collection, the Christian Siriano Spring Summer 2010 is the very Prada menace alive. Spring-summer 2010 Trend Fashion Week from New York
The fashion trend for shoes this coming year, 2010 shoes will be more on details, heel heights, and shapes.
Fashion designers will release shoes that have straps, laces, and buckles. Fetishly exotic will be the theme of the shoe’s architectural design this coming year. Different leather materials will also be used for the trendy shoes of 2010.Expect to have crocodile skin, bohemian fringing materials and designs. They will also have different shapes, which are far way different from the regular shoes that we used to wear in the past years.
They will have more edge, more trendy, and die hard fashion designs. They will be more like of an alien thing gadget rather than a resemblance of a shoe. Before the 2009 ends, these shoe’ designs will be out in the market and expect them to become more different as 2010 begins.

Here, we show you some samples of the new Jimmy Choo Spring-Summer 2010 collection. Jimmy Choo Ltd. is a well-known British high fashion house dedicated to producing designer bags and luxury shoes. Definitely, these samples are remarkable shoes due to their uniqueness and design.
* Animal print:
These high-heel shoes in blue/green have a snakeskin print, crossed thin straps across the whole shoe (even at the beginning of the leg) and open toe boxes.
This shoe model, which also has animal print design, is available in pink and comes with crossed straps, from the ankle area to the beginning of the leg. Similar to the previous item, the toe box is uncovered.* Sophisticated shoes:
This black shoe model has a very interesting design. Your feet will be exposed almost totally, including insteps and toes.

Spring/Summer 2010
Sooo, I emailed my pitch to my editor (which will stay secret until around deadline tiiiime), and am now ready for spring. Winter is my favorite season, but I'm so ready for spring after looking at all the 2010 collections. My sister is really into those invitation-only sample sale websites and got these great Calvin Klein tan leather lace-up sandals. They look like something you'd get at Tod's, you know? Really nice leather. And I'm plotting to liberate them and take them back to Chicago with me, where they belong. I'll put a photo up later. They are just perfect, and she shouldn't own them. I should. So I sort of have spring fever and it's not even Christmas yet. Eh well.Here's what really, really stood out to me (and will probably cause me to go without necessities for a while to end up in my closet) in the spring/summer collections:
1. The shoes at Lanvin
I don't know why, but it seems so rare to see a pair of shoes with buckles and ankle straps, and I just fell in love with these. All of them. There are shoes with chains and ribbons, and !!!!! Anyway. They're amazing, and I want all of them.
2. Neutrals at Valentino
Everything was so soft and flouncy and full of life, and then tempered with muted colors. Great great great.
3. This dress. Not something I would wear, but I find myself totally enthralled with the movement, and the neckline, and just the meticulous attention to detail.

Also loving all the black all over the runways. Spring pastels are tired and kind of nauseating. I'm not the Lilly Pulitzer/Lacoste type, I don't use the word "summer" as a verb. Black is my absolute favorite color to wear, and looks good anywhere, on anyone. So thank you, Chanel, YSL, Prada, Badgley Mischka, and Lanvin. Just to name a few.
And of course Alexander Wang and Monique Lhuillier can do no wrong.
My sister has one of those touch-screen computers and I don't know how o use it and I'm getting really annoyed.
Anyway. Tomorrow's Christmas Eve, and I am no longer ill. My sister has this really amazing red nailpolish, which is sparkly in a festive-Kate Spade sort of way, and not a middle-school dance sort of way. So I'm going to go ahead and utilize that. My extra chic and awesome aunt will arrive from NYC. In short, it will all be good.
Oh and I finished Music For Chameleons, so good. Truman Capote seriously is a creative nonfiction pioneer. Certainly not the first to do it, but he was such a master. He was also friends with Marilyn Monroe. And a great conversationalist. No one respects the art of conversation anymore. People don't realize that it's a skill. Texting and Facebook have kind of tarnished it. Fun fact: Monroe once said "What's that cunt got to do with it?" in reference to the queen of England. Read the book. I'll lend it to you.
They are absolutely fabulous. Some are classic pumps with a small platform, others are of a chic design, and there are those which are adorned with lots of chains.
